A social satire, which, depending on your tolerance, you might find still readable and enjoyable. It is quite mischievous in tone. Significant passages are written in dialect, which was a humorist’s stock in trade at the time (a practice Samuel Clemens analyzed neatly). Although the hinges are somewhat delicate, this is still a readable copy.
