William Eggleston (b. 1939) brought color photography to the forefront and used his talents to create images of ordinary subjects and ordinary life. His goal was to select unseen, unpublished images absent from the extensive “Collected Hits” retrospective still travelling as this book went to press.
This is the rare first edition, published by Scalo in 2003. He eventually abandoned this project–and hardly any of the negatives were ever printed. Published in collaboration with Museum Ludwig, Cologne.
